Why? My stock springs are shot, they're stupidly cheap, I'm probably not going to DD them, just stick them on for shits and giggles then put on my spare OEM springs, and on the off chance this random CL find actually ends up with reasonable ride quality I'll autocross with them. Either way, lulz will be had. I'm also going to use them to see how my car looks at various ride heights to decide if I want to eventually lower it properly or not.
And no matter what I do it probably wont ride worse than Jay Lauer's stock STi. I think that thing bruised my coccyx (exaggeration, but you get the idea. Shit be rough, yo).
EDIT: Oh my god I should see if these fit on the shocks for the Murdersofa. It's heavy enough these might not actually be that rough on it. Lowered Murdersofa, anyone?

Why not save up for actual suspension?
You can get good set ups reasonably cheap

What's wrong with Koni struts?

A decent set of Konis is like $500. I'm saving up, but it'll take me a while to get there so I'm dropping a couple bucks on something to entertain myself till then

Or save the couple bucks and get to real suspension sooner...

Nah, I'm with you. Stupid cheap on craigslist usually means go for it.
